Return Policy

 

Merchandise damaged in transit - Items damaged in transit require special handling and are handled on a case-by-case basis. Please do not return items damaged in transit without contacting Tekin, INC. first. Along with the damaged item(s) please save all packing materials and containers as in most cases, the shipping company will want to inspect these items before finalizing the claim. Unwanted or mistakenly ordered items - Opened or used items and apparel are not eligible for return. If you wish to return an item or order, please contact Tekin, INC. via our Contact Us page https://www.teamtekin.com/contact.html. Returns must be received within 30 days of the original order date. Upon receiving and approving your return, we will issue a refund of the original item purchase, not including shipping. A 20% restocking fee will apply.  The 20% restocking fee is non-negotiable.  All returns are subject to Tekin, INC. receiving department approval. Returns with incomplete or missing documentation will be denied. Denied returns will be returned at the purchaser’s expense.

 

Discontinued Items - Discontinued items cannot be returned nor refunded. Make sure you are ordering the correct item. You may cancel an order before it has been packed and shipped. 

 

 

Canceling Orders

 

We cannot cancel orders that are already packed and/or shipped. If your order has already been shipped by the time we receive your cancellation request, you must go through the return process and will be subject to a 20% restocking fee. Please contact us either via the internal message system in your store account, email sales@teamtekin.com with your order number or call (208) 634-5559 so we can assist you.

 

 

Refused Orders

 

If you decide to refuse an order upon attempted delivery, your order will be subject to fees associated with the return, including but not limited to a 25% restocking fee and return shipping charges. All fees are subject to Tekins' discretion. We strongly recommend that you accept the merchandise and then proceed through our normal return process if you wish to return your order.

 

 

Refunds

 

Refunds will be issued back to the original method of payment. No refund will be issued after 30 days from the original payment date; store credits will be issued. All refunds are subject to approval by Tekin, INC before processing. Refunds to credit cards may take up to 7 days for processing by the bank or credit card issuer. This is beyond our control and we cannot decrease the processing time. You will need to contact your bank for assistance.

 

 

Shipping



Rates and Carriers - We can ship to virtually any address in the world, however please note that there are restrictions on some products, and some products cannot be shipped to international destinations. LiPo Batteries can only be shipping in the lower 48 United States via Ground method ONLY.

When you place an order, we will estimate shipping and delivery dates for you based on the availability of your items and the shipping options you choose.  Depending on the shipping provider you choose, shipping date estimates may appear on the shipping quotes page.

Please note that shipping rates are calculated using the shipping carrier's API system. We do not calculate these rates.

Lost Shipments - Tekin, INC. will not be held responsible for shipments or items lost or stolen during transit. We only ship to the address provided by the customer and cannot change the destination once the order has been shipped. If your shipment is lost, please contact Tekin, INC. at sales@teamtekin.com with your order number or call (208) 634-5559. We will file a claim if the shipment does not arrive within 30 days of the original shipping date. DO NOT file a claim with the carrier yourself. Packages usually show up before the 30 day period and carriers will not attempt to track them down until those 30 days are up.

 

Warranty Policy

 

ESC Warranty

TEKIN, INC. guarantees speed controllers to be free from factory defects in materials and workmanship for a period of 180 days from date of purchase, when verified by sales receipt.  This warranty does not cover: suitability for specific application, components worn by use or improper voltage, tampering, misuse, abuse or shipping. Our warranty liability shall be limited to repairing or replacing unit to our original specifications. Because we have no control over the installation or use of this product, in no case shall we be liable for damages.

 

Additionally, these items void the ESC warranty:

 Using speed control in an application it was not rated for.

 Exceeding the product specifications.

 Modification or tampering in any way, shape or form.

 Allowing water or moisture into the speed controller.

 Failure to attach the supplied capacitor.

 Incorrect wiring or use inconsistent with the instructions.

 Using the same polarity connectors on the battery and motor wires from the speed controller.

 Improper setup ie: incorrect gearing or extreme timing advance.

 Loading V295 drag race firmware in the RX8 GEN3. You accept the risks.

 

Motor Warranty

TEKIN, INC. guarantees motors to be free from factory defects in materials and workmanship for a period of 180 days from date of purchase, when verified by sales receipt. This warranty does not cover: suitability for specific application, components worn by use or improper voltage, tampering, modification, misuse, abuse or shipping. Our warranty liability shall be limited to repairing or replacing unit to our original specifications. Because we have no control over the installation or use of this product, in no case shall we be liable for damages.

 

Additionally, these items void the Motor warranty:

 Using motor in an application it was not rated for.

 Exceeding the product specifications.

 Allowing water or moisture into the motor.

 Incorrect gearing resulting in temperatures exceeding the maximum of 180F.

 Incorrect wiring or use inconsistent with the instructions.

 Over-revving the motor beyond the RPM maximum claimed on the motor specifications.

 Modification or tampering in any way, shape or form.

 

Servo Warranty

TEKIN, INC. guarantees Servos to be free from factory defects in materials and workmanship for a period of 365 days from date of purchase, when verified by sales receipt. This warranty does not cover: suitability for specific application, components worn by use or improper voltage, tampering, modification, misuse, abuse or shipping. Our warranty liability shall be limited to repairing or replacing unit to our original specifications. Because we have no control over the installation or use of this product, in no case shall we be liable for damages.

 

Additionally, these items void the Servo warranty:

 Using servo in an application it was not rated for.

 Exceeding the product specifications.

 Allowing water or moisture into the servo.

 Use of the servo without a servo saver.

 Incorrect wiring or use inconsistent with the instructions.

 Gear damage from high impact situations in applications with no servo saver.

 Modification or tampering in any way, shape or form.

 

LiPo Battery Warranty

TEKIN, INC. guarantees LiPo Batteries to be free from factory defects in materials and workmanship for a period of 60 days from date of purchase, when verified by sales receipt. This warranty does not cover: suitability for specific application, components worn by use, improper charging, tampering, modification, misuse, abuse or shipping. Our warranty liability shall be limited to repairing or replacing unit to our original specifications. Because we have no control over the charging, installation or use of this product, in no case shall we be liable for damages. Please charge and store your batteries responsibly per our instructions.

 

Additionally, these items void the LiPo warranty:

 Using battery in an application it was not rated for.

 Exceeding the product specifications.

 Allowing water or moisture into the battery.

 Improper charging and/or discharging inconsistent with recommended charge/discharge rates as recommended by Tekin.

 Improper storage of batteries. Batteries must be stored at 3.8V per cell.

 Incorrect wiring or use inconsistent with the instructions.

 Modification, disassembly or tampering in any way, shape or form.

 

Scratch & Dent Warranty

Items purchased as Scratch & Dent are sold as-is with no factory warranty. No exceptions.

 

Discontinued Item Warranty

Items purchased as Discontinued are sold as-is with no factory warranty. No exceptions.
